Content
 19 resident artists of the 8th-term residency including foreign artists from Germany, Argentina, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, France, and Australia who have worked since December 2009 will take part in the open studio event to be held at Changdong Art Studio from September 9 through 12. The studio, established in 2002, has conducted a wide variety of programs such as the long and short-term artist-in-residence programs, the Asian Pacific Fellowship Program, international exchange artist-in-residence programs, and the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme.
 The studio has made public programs for eight years since its inauguration in 2002. The Open Studio 2010 Archives will present an overview of the studio’s diverse programs as well as open up the resident artists’ studios. Those who visit the studio during this event can peruse diverse residency-related materials including the materials of the Residence Parade held in April 2010, and resident artists’ external exhibitions like The Empty House in June 2010.
 During the open studio event 14 studios will be made public. Works exhibited in the Community Research Project and Public Art Project will be displayed in the studio’s interior and exterior spaces including galleries, corridor, and stairs, and other various occasions will take place. An opening performance by media artist Zune Lee and composer N2 (Sang-won Nam) takes place on September 9 at 7:00 pm, talks with the artists from September 9 through 11 will be held between 3:00 and 6:00 pm, presentation of video artworks by Wan Lee, Sojung Jun, Soyung Lee, and Alexander Ugay(Kazakhstan) on September 9 and 10. On the last day of the open studio event, September 12 (Sun), an open forum to discuss impending issues in contemporary art will be held with the participation of artists, curators, and critics.
